1. Gatineau (Outaouais) - Your adventure's point of departure is rich in fabulous attractions! There's the Casino du Lac-Leamy (www.casino-du-lac-leamy.com), the Canadian Museum of Civilization (www.civilization.ca) and the many other museums of the National Capital Region, such as the magnificent National Gallery of Canada (www.gallery.ca) and the fascinating Canadian Museum of Nature (www.nature.ca) across the river in Ottawa, Ontario. 2. Plaisance (Outaouais) - The small town of Plaisance is an exceptional natural setting that's particularly attractive to those who love the outdoors. For instance, there are walking and cycling trails in Parc national de Plaisance where you can see nature in all its splendour.

3. Montebello (Outaouais) - Route 148 Est
You'll immediately fall under the spell of Montebello, christened in 1855 by Louis-Joseph Papineau but officially founded in 1878. Of special interest is the Château Montebello (www.fairmont.com), the largest log building in the world. On the outskirts lies Parc Oméga (www.parcomega.com), where you can interact with animals roaming freely.

4. Lachute (Laurentians) - As an important industrial centre at the beginning of the 20th century, Lachute today is marked by its lively streets, warm welcome, attractive terrasses (outdoor restaurant and bar decks) and the quality of time spent there. The architecture with its anglo-saxon influences is also something visitors find interesting.

5. Oka (Laurentians) - Oka provides a pleasant blend of culture, heritage, outdoor activities and agrotourism. Parc national d'Oka has always been a destination of choice for hiking and watersports on its magnificent and broad Lac des Deux-Montagnes.

6. Saint-Eustache (Laurentians) - Witness to the Patriote Rebellion in the face of British troops in 1837, Saint-Eustache is endowed with several historical sites, each more interesting than the last. Whether it's the Saint-Eustache Chuch, the Légaré Mill or the Maison de la culture et du patrimoine, you'll learn a lot about Québec culture here!

7. Old Montréal (Montréal) - Last stop
Set between the St. Lawrence River and the downtown skyscrapers, it is the historic district of the city. It's 18th and 19th century building house art galléries, museums, fine restaurants and trendy boutique hôtels. Nearby, the Quays of the Old Port, a 2.5 km tourist and recreational park, offers a variety of outdoor and indoor activities.
