41) International Festival of Poetry

The International Poetry Festival presents more than 400 poetry-related activities that take place over 10 days at more than 70 different event sites. For this event, more than 100 poets from five continents will come face to face with the 35,000 people who come to hear them in the presence of the national and international media. A wide array of activities are on the event agenda: contests, classroom visits by poets, Poetry Hanging Line where visitors can express themselves, Poetry Promenade, poets at work, poetry readings in cafés, poetry expositions, etc.

43) Quebec Festival of Sacred Music

Since 1997, the magnificent Saint-Roch church has been the primary host for the Quebec Festival of Sacred Music. This festival allows thousands of people who are curious about sacred music to discover it without the obstruction of religious or linguistic barriers. From gospel to Gregorian chants, from Corsican polyphonies to Celtic music, the Festival offers musical forms inspired by spirituality, from here and elsewhere, as performed by internationally renowned artists.
