33) Marathon Oasis de Montréal
The Marathon Oasis de Montréal, the largest running event in Quebec, is a multidisciplinary event open to all that includes a 42 kilometre (26.1 mile) marathon, 5 and 10 kilometre (3.1 mile and 6.2 mile) races and walks, a 40 kilometre (24.9 mile) cycling course, a half marathon and a one kilometre (0.6 mile) ?P'tit Marathon? for children. The Marathon's course goes by many of Montréal's landmarks, including Sainte-Hélène Island, Notre-Dame Island and Old Montréal, and ends inside the Olympic Stadium. The event offers its participants impeccable organization, entertainment along the course and a wide range of services at the finish line, including showers, massage and sports therapy, a rest area, refreshments and an official medal given to all participants who cross the finish line. The signal to start will be given on the Jacques-Cartier Bridge on Sunday, September 5, 2010. Event location: in the streets of Montréal.
