1) MANIF D'ART 5, Québec city biennial
Dedicated to the promotion and dissemination of contemporary art, Manifestation internationale d'art de Québec presents, from May 1 to June 13, 2010, the MANIF D'ART 5, Québec City biennial. This international event reunites more than 100 artists from Quebec and abroad under a common theme, in various venues across the city of Québec, as part of a rich and varied program. Through its various projects presented both locally and abroad, Manifestation internationale d'art de Québec provides creation and performance contexts that foster the development of contemporary art and the dissemination of Quebec culture. The event takes place at various locations throughout the city of Québec.

2) Montreal Bike Fest
The Montréal Bike Fest features several cycling activities. Over the course of one week, the bicycle is the object of celebration in North America?s best cycling city. During that week, the bicycle and the city are celebrated in light of developing greater awareness about the environment and of making urban life more attractive and convivial. The last weekend of the Bike Fest ends with two unique events: a night tour, called Un Tour la Nuit, where more than 12,000 cyclists ride the streets of Montréal; and the Montréal island circuit, or Tour de l?Île de Montréal, which is the largest gathering of cyclists in America and features over 30,000 people cycling the 50 km (31 mi) circuit. SUNDAY, JUNE 13 - THE TOUR DE L'ÎLE DE MONTRÉAL The 26th Tour de l'Île is the closing event of this week of cycling festivities. On a Sunday like no other, the city belongs to 30,000 cyclists, who ride on 50 kilometers of roads closed to all motorized traffic!

4) L'International des Feux Loto-Québec presented by Telus
The Montréal International Fireworks Competition?known for several years as L'International des Feux Loto-Québec, pleases more than three million spectators every summer. And the best seats for the event are at La Ronde, at the heart of the action of this spectacular show over Lac des Dauphins. This year, La Ronde has added a new event, theFeu des étoiles, to the competition's program. This pyromusical extravaganza pays tribute to some of the most brilliant artists and their work. On August 14, the Jupiter awards ceremony will be held, followed by a fireworks show lasting about ten minutes. You can attend this ceremony by purchasing a general-admission ticket for La Ronde.

5) The Loto-Québec World Choral Festival
The Loto-Québec World Choral Festival presented by Rona is a national and international choral singing event. This Festival is the largest gathering of choirs and vocal groups in all of North America and has made it possible for Laval to proclaim itself the Canadian and Quebec Capital of Choral Singing. To everyone?s delight, hundreds of concerts and shows (some of which are free) are presented in halls and outside, in all parts of the city during the festival. The World Choral Festival came into being thanks to the vision of its creator, Gregory Charles, and the growing popularity of this dynamic art and leisure form, which continues to increase over the course of time.

8) Festival international de Jazz de Montréal
The Festival International de Jazz de Montréal is now known as the largest festival in the world with nearly 2,000,000 visitors and more than 2,000 musicians from over 30 countries. The biggest names in jazz rub shoulders and give top-quality performances on the streets and in various venues. During the festival, some 500 concerts are presented of which 350 are given free outdoors.
